2012 Sarnoff Alumni Achievement Award

The purpose of the Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation Alumni Achievement Award is to honor a distinguished Sarnoff alumnus. This award is given annually to alumni who have rendered outstanding service to, and demonstrated loyal interest in, the Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation as well as having:

  1. Achieved excellence in their chosen field, and/or

  2. Rendered outstanding service to their community.

Award Nomination Process

To be nominated for the award, any individual regardless of their affiliation with the Foundation can nominate a Sarnoff alumnus. Those who may submit nominations are Fellows, Alumni, Preceptors, Sponsors, and Board members. Individuals may not nominate themselves. A completed nomination Form and supporting materials must be submitted by December 15, 2011.

Award Selection Process

The Award Selection will be made by a six-member committee. The committee will comprise of the current Alumni Committee Chair, the two immediate past Alumni Committee Chairs, the Board Chair, the Scientific Committee Chair, and an honorary member.

The committee will review the nominations and make their final selection by January 27, 2012. The award winner will be notified no later than January 31, 2012. The awardee will be honored during the Foundation’s Annual Scientific Meeting scheduled for May 3-5, 2012 in Arlington, Virginia. The winner will attend the Foundation’s Award Dinner on Friday, May 4, 2012.
