Announcing: Sarnoff Alumni Achievement Award
The Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation is pleased to announce the creation of a new award, the Alumni Achievement Award. The Alumni Achievement Award is to honor a distinguished Sarnoff alumnus. This award will be given annually to alumni who have rendered outstanding service to, and demonstrated loyal interest in, the Sarnoff Cardiovascular Research Foundation as well as having:
- Achieved excellence in their chosen field, and/or
- Rendered outstanding service to their community.
Award Nomination Process
To be nominated for the award, any individual regardless of their affiliation with the Foundation can nominate a Sarnoff alumnus. These include Fellows, Alumni, Preceptors, Sponsors and Board Members. Individuals cannot nominate themselves. A completed Nomination Form and supporting materials must be submitted by the application deadline. The deadline is March 1, 2010.
Award Selection Process
The Award Selection will be made by a six-member committee. The committee will comprise of the current Alumni Committee Chair, the immediate past two Alumni Committee Chairs, the Board Chair, the Scientific Committee Chair, and an honorary member.
The committee will review the nominations and make their final selection by March 26, 2010. The award winner will be notified by March 29, 2010. The awardee will be honored during the Foundation's annual scientific meeting scheduled for April 29 - May 1, 2010 in Washington, DC. The winner must be able to attend the Foundation's Award Dinner on Thursday, April 29, 2010.
